My husband, daughters and I talked at length about making the most of dad's time that was left. I had been told by the consultant that he had weeks left. I couldn't tell him this, my mum didn't want to know and she didn't want dad to know. We tried to deal with this as positively as we could. After all no one really knows do they? We spent the day in Bridlington, his absolute favourite place. He had a lovely day and so did we, walking along the seafront in the fresh sea air and the beautiful sunshine. On the way home in the car he said it had been the best day ever because we had all been together.
